My dad and I have a heavily email-dependent relationship when he’s away. (Which is often, since he travels a lot.) There is no one in the world whose messages I look forward to seeing in my (spam-filled) inbox more than his. They usually include a Bible verse, personal reflection, and words of encouragement. They also have the astounding ability to make me laugh out loud one minute, then get misty-eyed the next. Especially when they sign off like this. I MISS HIM :(
